To go along with this new lightweight, low power survey radar, a new USB data acquisition system is available.  It's perfect for operation with a small laptop computer.  It is mounted inside the power supply/controller box. The complete radar system consists of the controller box, service cable, and microwave antenna package.

This optional Windows based data system can be incorporated into the housing with the radar control electronics.  A single USB cable connects to a laptop (or a desktop if desired) PC to store and play back data.

The operating software has all the usual features like a setup screen to define the job/customer, etc. It also allows a hardware marker (via external switch) to be inserted into the data file. During recording or  playback the data is seen on both A and B scan.  The recording system misses no data records at rates up to 50 traces/sec.  Each radar trace is recorded as 1024 samples, 12 bits deep.  On playback, instant access to any record in the file is available (we've checked this in files as large as 3 Gigabytes).  The software package includes an interface (via RS232 on the PC) with most of the available GPS vendor units. The DMI interface on the controller accepts almost any type of transition from 1 to 35V.  Both GPS and DMI data are recorded with each trace.

A conversion utility is provided to produce data in a GSSI format or to a ASCII (CSV) format. Other data format  conversions can be provided.
